Take a trip back in time—right here in Miamitown. As part of Ohio Goes To The Movies, the Miami Historical Society of Whitewater Township is showcasing “History in Your Own Backyard” movies focused on Miamitown. Join us Wednesday, March 25, 2026, for refreshments and small bites at 6 p.m. This is a time to explore our newly redesigned museum cases, including our historic flag and quilt on display. The movies start at 7 p.m. After the movies, we invite you to share your own Miamitown memories and help keep our town’s story alive.

As part of Ohio Goes To The Movies, the Miami Historical Society of Whitewater Township presents “History in Your Own Backyard” movies all about Whitewater Township. Join us Wednesday, April 22, 2026—mix and mingle at 6 p.m., You are invited to explore our newly updated museum displays, including our beloved historic flag and quilt. Movies begin at 7 p.m. We hope you’ll share a special memory of Whitewater Township and help us celebrate the people and places that shaped our community.Miamitown’s 137th consecutive Memorial Day Ceremony
Miamitown’s 137th consecutive Memorial Day Ceremony brings the community together in gratitude and reflection as we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. The marching band, veterans, and local families line the streets not in celebration alone, but in solemn remembrance of the sacrifices that protect our freedoms. During America’s 250th anniversary, this tribute reminds us that the story of our nation has been written—and defended—by those we remember today.
Time: Parade starts at 12noon.
Location: The main street in Miamitown. Speaker will be at the band stand by the fire house.

Directions to the Historic Town Hall:
From Downtown Cincinnati, take I-74 to the State Route 128, Miamitown Exit. Turn right and go pass the Wendy’s and Miamitown Elementary (on the right). The Historic Town Hall is one block from the Elementary on the right hand side, next to the Firehouse. Parking is available on the street and behind the stone Christian church next door.
From I-275, Colerain area, go West on I-74 to the next exit, State Route 128 and follow the above directions.
From Kentucky or Lawrenceburg, IN, follow I-275 North to I-74 East and exit State Route 128. Left on State Route 128 and follow the above directions.
From the Harrison area, either take I-74 East to State Route 128, or go East on Harrison Rd. to State Route 128, turn left and watch for the Firehouse on the left. We are next door.
